As of April 3, 2019, the National Debt exceeds 22.167 trillion dollars, a debt load of approximately $68,059 per United States citizen. According to the federal budget for fiscal year 2020, the interest on the debt will exceed 479 billion dollars. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the National Debt is expected to exceed 33 Trillion dollars by 2028. The interest on the National Debt in 2028 could exceed 783 Billion Dollars. If the National Debt trend continues, deficit spending will saddle future generations with unsustainable
